You were sleeping so soundly, you hadn’t heard the preparations for the perfect breakfast; coffee, pastries still warm, scrambled eggs, homemade orange juice and even fresh fruit salad!
Today, you’re off for a stroll around the Étang d’Urbinu lagoon in Ghisonaccia, slightly further north of Bagheera campsite as you head up the coast… You put on your trainers and hat, and slip the day’s essential accessory into your bag – binoculars!

Your waterside walk starts at the coastal rangers’ base. Look closely around you, nearly 200 bird species live around this lagoon. Your binoculars allow you to observe them discreetly… The walk is peaceful. Strolling on the wooden walkway, you literally feel like you’re walking on water… You glimpse the fishermen’s huts and the Ile d’Urbinu across from you.

You calmly retrace your steps, and choose a peaceful spot by the lagoon to sit down. In the shade of pine trees or on the pontoon, this is the perfect setting for a lunch break surrounded by nature.
You take out a selection of gourmet picnic treats from your bag; fresh bread, Corsican cheese, charcuterie (cooked pork meats), seasonal fruit… All accompanied by the lapping water and birdsong in the background. A simple, authentic interlude, perfectly in harmony with the atmosphere here.

A post-lunch walk, shaded by trees, in the Pinia forest. The trail winds through the dunes and maritime pines. If you’re lucky, you’ll glimpse a Eurasian sparrowhawk…
The grand finale on the walk is the Balcon d’Urbino viewpoint, offering breathtaking views over the lagoon, plains and mountain range.
