No need for an alarm clock this morning, with the water lapping and a great family day in prospect, you wake up at the right time. Coffee is served, the children have breakfast, with messy, just woke up hair! Your tribe sets off…

You glimpse the magnificent limestone cliffs and the Bonifacio citadel. The kids are already impressed. You park the car and start to explore the Old Town above; picturesque winding streets, bastions, magnificent churches… After a short coffee break in the market square, known as the Place du Marché, you head towards the rampart walk to make the most of panoramic views over the city and sea, before descending the 189 steps of the Roy d’Aragon staircase, historically used by the King of Aragon. This masterpiece hollowed into the cliff offers breathtaking views over the turquoise sea and horizon…

The children have been brave, they climbed back up the 189 stairs without complaining (well too much anyway!). It is a well-deserved lunch break for the entire family. Head for the Marina de Bonifacio for a delicious meal of fresh fish and seafood in the port.
After a generous lunch, time to tell the children about this afternoon’s surprise activity…

…Canoeing on the Mediterranean! The waters around Bonifacio are truly on a par with the Caribbean! Piantarella lagoon, Île Piana, Petit Spérone beach… These names tell you nothing for the moment, but leave you with an indelible memory… You can even discover a small cave, and of course regularly have a quick dip in these crystal clear sublime waters!

The sea kayak trip and generous ice cream snack completely wore the kids out. They have dozed off, even before you leave the ‘Citadel of Cliffs’. The return journey to Bagheera campsite went smoothly…

The kids have gone out to get takeaway pizzas at La Paillotte snack bar! Meanwhile, you admire the sunset while enjoying a glass of wine… Tonight, everyone will sleep with stars in their eyes! Tomorrow, you’ll sleep in!
