Yesterday’s massage did you the world of good! You’ve got up on the right foot, singing to yourself, as you make breakfast for the entire family…. Today, you’re heading off to explore the Cap Corse region. Erbalunga is a charming picturesque fishing village, some 10 kilometres (6 miles) north of Bastia.

You have left your car in the car park, and discover this little strip of land, where time seems to have stood still. The houses are tightly packed together around picturesque alleyways.
You walk along the harbour, pass in front of small boats perfectly lined up, and glimpse the 16th century Genoese Tower, soaring above the sea. The setting is visually stunning, particularly when a ferry passes offshore…

It is very hot. This is the perfect time for a cool swim on the pebble beach, followed by a quick pebble-skimming competition, as the children are already hungry!
It is time for lunch in the shade of a parasol. From the pizzeria to the high-end restaurant not forgetting the Corsican or fishermen’s restaurant, you’ll be spoilt for choice in Erbalunga.

You stroll through the cobbled, pedestrian streets of the Village The children flit freely from one idea to another, commenting about the artworks on display in the galleries and go in search of an ice cream for dessert… You pass the magnificent Castel Brando, an authentic 19th century manor house and head back on the road to the campsite.

A family meal on your holiday rental terrace, before taking the kids to their first Corsican polyphonic concert.
Traditional songs of the Isle of Beauty are sung to guitars, percussion instruments and a cappella, a blissful end to this lovely family day…
